Freedom Parade 2010

Today was Jeffersonville's Freedom Parade, it was our second year attending. Last year we were joined by the Bushes, this year it was us, the Bushes, the Reid's, and Steve's brother. This parade is so much fun. It's not the best parade there is to see but it's so much fun for the kids. Plus there is plenty of close parking and plenty of shade. We sat a little further down this year so we were closer to the start of the parade. Thanks everyone for joining us, we had a great time. Can't wait for next year.

Waiting for the start of the parade.

I loved the bagpipes! Same as last year, although Cooper didn't have quite the same reaction. It took a while to get warmed up. He almost started crying before we left the house, I think he thought we were going to leave him again somewhere. I kept having to reassure him that he was coming home with mommy and daddy. They popped off streamers and confetti like last year, this time I was able to get some pictures.

He didn't seem to mind the streamers.

The therapy dogs were a big hit. Cooper loves dogs, especially ones that are trained and don't bark.

He pretty much ate sugar and chocolate the entire parade.

This was Scott's favorite "float", the Schimpff's car. For those that are interested, Wednesday, July 21, Schimpff's is having the Jelly Belly touring bus from 11-3. It sounds fun, games and activities for the kids.

This one was a real party animal, let me tell ya, She was a lot of work, stayed like this the whole time.

This is how Hope, and really all the kids but mine stayed for the majority of the parade. I guess it's because Cooper can't hear out of one year, I don't know.

Karen, you would be so proud. Cooper though Jonathon was in the Kosair helicopter.
