We had our worst parenting moment ever this weekend. After our mad dash to get the house clean we headed out to dinner Saturday. Cooper climbed in the car, Steve put Cameron's car seat in and I was putting the stroller in the trunk to clear out our garage. We get almost all the way to Texas Roadhouse when from the back seat we hear this, "you forgot to buckle me in". I turned around and sure enough Cooper's car seat is not buckled. Poor little guy looked so disturbed. I think we will be double checking the car seat from now on.

It happens!! I would hate to confess all my mess ups!!
Been there... done that... and yes, it's horrible. But I think it's a right of passage :-)
Just thankful everything is fine. We've all done things like that! Too many times in face! :)
Don't beat yourself up...you're only human & mistakes happen! At least the 3 year old snapped back into parent reality! ;)
something similar happened to us with jackson when he was an infant. we had gone somewhere that he had been in the infant carrier the whole time (zoo or something). we had him unbuckled, but in the carrier. without thinking we put the infant carrier into the base and drove off...with him not buckled in. he was pretty tiny. when i got home and saw him unbuckled, i freaked out about all the "what ifs" had happened. i am thankful his guardian angel was watching over him and us! cooper's did the same!! :)
Yep, we've done that before. :)
At least you didn't accidently leave the gate to the stairs open and hear your 10 month old falling down the steps..... OOPS!
