A Really Good Day

I'd like to start out this post by saying Steve headed out bright and early, there was no bright about it. He was up and at em before the boys woke up and they wake up early. He headed up to Bloomington for the IU game with his brother. I usually dread these Saturdays, weekends are family time. This time I was looking forward to it. Our weeks are so busy during the day that I was looking forward to a day with my boys. After he left he texted me to say Scott had left us some donuts on our garage step. Once the boys woke up we wasted no time digging on. Yummy yummy, Jeff's Bakery.

Cooper and Cameron can fight like no one's business, yet Cooper loves to share his food. Nothing like being double fisted with some donuts.

I put Cameron down for a nap after lunch so Cooper and I settled in for some Candyland. I had it handed to me the first game but came back with a vengeance on the second game. Find it funny Cooper seems more excited about me winning. You will also notice how both my boys have either Christmas pj's or t-shirts on. That's how we roll!

I was getting ready so Cooper decided to try on some shoes. First up boots, second heels.

Now you can't expect me to go the whole day without some sort of plans, right? Tracey's sister is the PTO president at New Washington Elementary and today was their fall festival. I picked up my mom and we headed up. It was a ton of fun. Cooper wanted to shoot basketball so bad. There were long times at the beginning but after we ate we were able to try it out. They let the little kids climb inside to shoot. The only problem with that is Cooper treated it like a bouncy house.

This is the best I could get of his pumpkin.

I had left my phone in the car and missed getting a picture the first time he rode the pony. There were more clouds the second time and I couldn't get a good picture. It's dark but you can see how happy he looks. I love it!

Most days Cooper still takes a nap, he clearly need them. He didn't take one today because it didn't fit into the schedule of going to the fall festival. I'd like to also note he never and I mean NEVER falls asleep in the car anymore. Not in like 2 years. Imagine my surprise when about 5 minutes after leaving my mom's house I see this. Craziness! The funny part is he had a cup of water with him and he kept drinking it while half asleep.

Steve got home just before 7:00 and the boys were wound up. I guess so, they took naps in the car at 6:00! Our night ended fun by playing and watching a good night show. A really good day!

I'm so glad you came even though I just saw you twice in passing. :( Can I get a 'holla' for the steak dinner??? :) The kids had fun and Eric even won me a pampered day at the spa during the live auction! Woot!!

School fall festivals are the best. I sure wish we had an Uncle Scott to leave donuts on our garage steps! :)
