Fall Break

Cooper was on fall break today, which in preschool talk amounts to a total of one day. I thought we would make the most of it by staying in our pj's all.day.long! I often feel guilty because I don't think I get to spend a lot of quality time with Cooper. Between school, speech, our church group, my Bible study, and other activities we are always on the run. Which is what made today a little special.
We started off my experimenting with food coloring and making colors. We ended up putting eggs in there as well. This all started because we read Happy Easter Curious George, so it doesn't surprise me he suggested the eggs.

This was my view as we were playing with colors. This is my view a lot when I am in the kitchen. We went on to make Fun Da-middles.

I only had 11 cupcakes liners, which meant more chocolate per cupcake.

This was my view during the cupcake making process. He was getting tired, off to nap he went.

Once I laid Cameron down, Cooper and I painted. I picked up some animal magnets to paint at Walmart this week. It was fun. There were six total, Cooper worked on five and I did one.

This is my turtle.

This was my turtle after Cooper got a hold of it.

After painting it was time to ice and sprinkle the cupcakes. I allowed him two, I just let him at it which totally goes against my OCD complex. I made sure to reserve these cupcakes for him since as you can tell he is licking is fingers. Come to think of it, I am making sure no one else outside the family eats any of the cupcakes.

I let him use the sprinkles by himself too.

Again, totally against my OCD.Finally, after lunch it was time to try the cupcakes. OH MY WORD!!!! Heavenly!!! I am not a huge cupcake fan, but when you take a bite and get double the chocolate, I'll take it.

Cooper managed a small nap and afterwards he came up to me and said it was a good day which is why he took a nap. It was a good day, I miss days like this.

Way to let the OCD go! I have to do that from time to time too! :)
