Question???
Cooper got some money for his birthday. I was going to take him to Target tomorrow so he could pick something out. What do I do if he picks something out I know he will not like at all. Do I get it or do I give him some other options. I want him to get the joy of picking something out but I also don't want to waste the money.

Give him some suggestions and then let him choose. He will feel like he did it himself even though you may have helped a little.
If it's something you totally know that he wouldn't enjoy, then I would re-direct him. Kids his age are usually re-directed easily.
i was going to say the same thing as these other smart ladies. give him choices and redirect. it's always worked for me! good luck! i can't wait to see what he picks!
