Bats Game

We took Cooper to his first Bats game Saturday night. This was our 8 out of 9 game season ticket package I got for Steve's birthday. I've only been to about half of them so Steve could take some friends a few times, he has loved it. Up until this weekend we have used some of the games for our date night so we finally decided it was Cooper's turn. I think he had a good time, who wouldn't when there is food, carousels, playgrounds and baseball involved? He will on occasion watch baseball with Steve and it is one of the few words he will say. We only stayed till the 5th inning but I think he could have stayed longer, but he did get there about a half our before the game started. It was a good time and we have plenty of pictures for the photo albums of his first live baseball game.
Our first stop was dinner, we sat by the picnic tables and Cooper and I enjoyed some chicken strips while Steve munched on some hot dogs.

I love his face in these two pictures.

Next it was off the carousel, they stopped it in the middle of the ride for the National Anthem, we had already been on for a while so I was surprised when they started it back up again.

Next it was off the playground.

Instead of our normal seats that are along the 3rd baseline we opted for the outfield so Cooper could have more room to get down if he wanted. He kept him busy with pretzels.

He got in on some clapping action.

I love this one... he looks like such a big boy.... almost as if he really is interested in the game.

View from the seats weren't bad either. Oh and the weather was perfect. Game time temp was 81 plus it was cloudy and breezy, we couldn't have picked a better game to bring Cooper to. Only more game left and it's the last weekend of August. It's been fun, we will most likely purchase again next year. If anyone is interested in splitting a 16 game package let me know, this will just get us a few sections closer to home plate.
