A visit with friends

With Cooper's school schedule going all the way up until today I was afraid we wouldn't get much time to spend with friends before Christmas.  Luckily our Bible Study ended last week, although we weren't able to attend cause it was his tube day, so Sharon brought the kids up yesterday.  I have never seen Cooper & Allie as wound up as there, ever.   We barely noticed Cameron & Wyatt were even there.  It's not that they were bad, just very loud.

I laughed when they walked in.  We had on the same sweatshirt.  We bought it together while at the outlets last month.  It was rainy and windy, I guess we both thought it was a hoodie type of day.

Not much else can be said about these two besides Adorable!

Let me tell you something about Cameron, he is a hugger.  Just today we were dropping Cooper off at school and he said bye to one of the teachers so I asked him if he wanted to give her a hug.  He ran up to her and gave one of the biggest hugs.  When Jaime Mac stopped by one day last week, he hugged her too as she was leaving.  Unprovoked.  So it was no surprise when Cooper & Allie went to hug again that Cameron had to get in on the action.

The chaos that comes along with feeding lunch to 4 small children.

We made Christmas Trees out of sugar cones again since it went over so well at our school party.  They loved it, Allie especially.  She took her time making it pretty.  A far cry from Cooper who poured almost a whole thing of sprinkles on it.  You can't see her whole outfit but she was dressed up as a pirate from our dress up clothes.  Eye patch and all.

I was thinking the night before they came over how we have been friends for almost 15 years.   We've been through a lot and know almost all there is know about one another.  She was the first person I called when my sister Carmen passed away, she understands the dynamics of my family and knew what implications it had on everyone.  All of our big life moments have been within months of one another.  We were married less than 6 months apart, our first children were born exactly 10 months apart, and we bought/built our new homes within 4 months of one another.  God gave me a special friend in Sharon, I pray our children will share that blessing, even if it's just a fraction of what we have.

What a great post! Love that you are matching. Ha! Sometimes you just "fit" with a person and the world seems right. :)))
