Things I learn at the zoo

My mom has been wanting to take the kids to the zoo all summer, today we finally made it.  Nothing like waiting until the day before school starts, at least for my niece.   I learned so much in our short little trip.
My first lesson was in the form of a driving lesson.  I'm not to keen on the side streets of Louisville.  I guess my mom is cause she said she takes Eastern Parkway to Poplar Level Rd.  I take the Waterson.  She followed me there but went her own way home.  I made it across the bridge before she did.  I'm not rubbing that in or anything :)

I also learned that a 9 year old girl will whine and complain more than a 4, 3, and 1 yr old combined.
I learned that if you don't pack a lunch it will cost $40 to feed 4 kids and 2 adults.  I wasn't buying so it wasn't my problem.  I also learned it cost almost $3 to get a kids size drink when Grandma forgets to pack snacks and drinks for the kids.  Once again, not my problem, I was prepared.

I learned that if other patrons of the zoo bring bread to feed the geese inside of the food pavilion, a certain 4 year old will sit on your lap in fear the entire time.

I learned that above mentioned 9 year old girl will get more worn out walking up hills than a 33 year old will, who also happens to be pushing a stroller with at least 30 lbs of weight inside.

I also learned that Grandma will give into $24 worth of Dippin Dots, $30 worth of merchandise from the gift shop, and a $13 group photo.

Great day folks, great day!!!   In all seriousness, it was fun.  It was just nice to see someone else having a harder time than me.
