Tee ball has begun!

After a two week delay and a cancelled game due to heat, tee ball season has begun.  We decided to sign him up with Charlestown Little Leauge's wee ball session.  We couldn't be happier.  We have 6 games over a two week period.  It's going to make a few late nights, but much better than 6 weeks of Saturday mornings.

We busted out the good ol' baseball glove.  Thankfully it still fit.

It took all of about 3 minutes before I realized it was going to be 10 times better than the YMCA.  It's not that the Y itself was bad, it was mainly our coach.  We have an awesome coach.  He has twins on Cooper's team so he seems to have a genuine interest.
I love the looks of pep talks and stretching before the game.
Steve had Cooper practice his Spiderman stance from last year.
Despite being about 96 degrees at game time, it wasn't all that bad.   There was a lot of shade and Cameron and I camped right out in it.
Love, love, love this picture.  Looks like they are in deep conversation.
 This one too.
Last year Cooper could care less about what was going on in the game.  This year he was all business.  He ran after every single ball.  He might not have known what to do with it once he got it, but he sure did hustle.
Love this one too.  Coop is #5.
 Precious!
I was surprised that they pitched to the kids and gave them three tries to hit then they got the tee.  We played two innings and he got the tee the first time and hit it well.  His second time up at bat was towards the end of the game so Cameron and I went to the concession stand to get Cooper and Icee.  Guess What?  He hit the ball being pitched to him!!!  Can't believe I missed it.

I was so proud of him and how much fun he had.  He looked so genuinely happy after the game.  I think he is going to really enjoy this season.
