Easter 2012

We were in it to win it this morning. We needed to be out of the house by 8:30. I had everything ready to go for us this morning, first up were chocolate donuts. Which might seem crazy since both kids were messy!!!We don't really do the Easter bunny. We get the kids gifts, but they are from us, not the Easter bunny. Which is going to make for some interesting conversations about Santa and the Easter bunny, why one and not the other.
Instead of baskets I got personalized cinch sacks for them. They sat on the couch all morning, it wasn't until we were all ready for church did Cooper notice them.
He took no time to dig through and get all their goodies.
Don't tell anyone, but these were gone by dinner time :)We had beautiful church service this morning, I just love the excitement of Easter morning. Guess who didn't cry in the nursery? This little guy!!!! The regular nursery worker is back from maternity leave and I think he likes her, a lot! She held out her arms and he went to her. Makes this momma happy.
We had lunch with Steve's parents at their house. We tried our best to get a family picture, at least three of us are looking. Oh, and this is my "princess" dress, according to Cooper. The boys got more goodies before lunch.I tried at a self portrait with Cooper, he gave me this. Which I then threatened with no treats, so I got...this one.
Then he wanted the camera, again I was nervous he would drop it and break. You can't really tell, but Steve is changing Cameron's diaper. Cooper insisted. After a yummy lunch, I take ham and Easter dinner over turkey and Thanksgiving any day, we had some chocolate pie and ice cream cake. Word is still out on if this shirt is ruined our not. He was covered. Finally, it was time to hunt eggs. I couldn't narrow them down, so you get all the pictures.I was a little late in getting the camera ready, they were giving each other hugs. Such sweet, sweet brothers.
This has really been such a fantastic day.
Christ has risen..... he has risen indeed!
