I did have some big plans this weekend, but they changed. Tracey had asked if I wanted to come to Bowling Green with her this weekend. I knew I couldn't do it for the whole weekend so I decided to go down for just Saturday. I had it all figured out and was super pumped about a day with nothing but girlie time and shopping. Then Steve gets a phone call from our Jr/Sr high youth minister on Wednesday night. A new Christian band is coming in town to play at our church on Sunday and he was looking for families to host a band member or two. We live in the same neighborhood as Matt, our youth minister, so he asked us. I really hated to cancel, I mean hated to cancel. But, I knew it was the right thing to do. They aren't supposed to be here until Saturday evening but with the time change from BG I would have needed to leave by 4:00. Plus I didn't want to leave Steve home all day with the kids and trying to keep the house clean and ready for guests. As of Wednesday we were going to host a band member and his wife, but Thursday that turned into their two kids as well. They are staying Saturday and Sunday night, although they will most likely only be here the evenings.
Besides getting back to routine and running errands we have also had some playtime. This is me going downstairs this morning, it is freezing down there. Cooper counted to 100 today. His 30 sounds like 40 so it sounds like he is going through the 40's twice. He needed a little help on a few of the 10's, it think 60 and 70, once he got to 80 he was all over it.
Matt told us he was responsible for feeding the band members all weekend but the only meal he couldn't do was breakfast on Sunday. He told us not to worry about it, he would drop some stuff off to us to feed them. This is what he brought
He's 24, what can you say? Steve plans on making pancakes.
That's about it for us. I took the boys out for a wagon ride today and got spring fever. It was nice! Hope everyone else got some time outdoors as well.
