He Did It!!!!

He did it!! Cooper was in the K-2nd grade talent show at school.

Several weeks ago when we got word of a talent show Cooper mentioned he wanted to be in it.  I was a little apprehensive about it.  I just didn't want him to freeze up on stage, feel bad about himself, and to be honest he doesn't like people to make a big deal about things.  So I thought we decided not to do it.  Then we got upset one day thinking it was the last day to sign up, it was really just a reminder.  He insisted on doing it.  He wanted to sing In Summer, the Olaf song, from Frozen.  So I burned a cd for him and he even said he wanted to do the instrumental version.  The kindergarten assistant even said something to me in the car rider line one day about him doing it.

Today was the day.  I was so nervous, all I wanted was him to be happy and proud.  He did great!!!!

There was one minor problem. The music started but he didn't have his microphone.  They realized it but by then he missed his cue to begin singing.  He started from the beginning but then realized he was off.  He stopped, listen to the music, and picked it up at the right spot. And was spot on for the rest of the song. He may not have the best singing voice but the boy has an ear for music. For a 6 year old kindergartner to get up there and perform in front of half the school I thought he did fantastic.
So incredibly proud of him today.  I was beaming!
