Making the best of it

Today, the glorious day it is, was supposed to be super special.  I had plans on taking the kids to the land down under, also known as Bowling Green, to play with G and the kids and see what this Jackson Orchard is all about.  Sunday night I was thinking and praying about it and realized it just wasn't feasible.  Steve's patient load has been down and he's been getting off early without pay, we just had to buy a new window for Cooper's room, we want to do some fun things with the kids next week for fall break, Steve has three Bloomington trips planned in the next month, and to top it off I need two new tires.  Something had to be dropped and BG it was.

We still had Community Bible Study, I am so glad I decided to stick with it.  I almost dropped out right before it started back up for the school year.  We have things going on everyday and didn't want to keep us so busy.  Luckily I didn't cancel and the boys both love going.  Even Cameron.

After lunch we played outside for a bit.  I put Cooper right to work watering some flowers.

Do you guys remember this shirt?  A couple weeks ago while getting ready for Bible Study he asked to wear his art shirt with the elephant on it.  I about died.  Pretty sure I would have the only 4 year out to get kicked out.

Getting myself in the picture.  There was an article going around on Facebook about keeping ourselves as moms in the picture.  I didn't read the whole thing but what I did was worth a good read.
I think Cameron would follow Cooper off a bridge.

We took a stroll by what we like to call the watering hole.  Basically a place to throw rocks.  Which by the way, Cameron is obsessed with rocks.

Remember how when I first moved here we had this awesome view of a field of trees, then they tore it all down?  Well now he have houses, and loud noises to top.

I have no idea what these bushes ever did to Cameron, but he likes to beat them with golf clubs.

As much as I would have loved to spend this beautiful day in BG, we made the best of what we had.  Gretchen was totally understanding and I hope just a little sad :)

Of course I was sad! But I understand that unexpected things happen! Just think about January :) BTW, I love your haircut! I think it really looks cute on you.

Sorry you didn't get to go to BG. I hate when things happen like that. I guess that is just life.

Yes being an adult SUCKS! Having to be responsible & all that is a drag! I'm glad you & the boys made the best of it anyway!
(& I love the thing about keeping YOU in the pictures! So true!)
