What we've been up to

One more day! One more day! I have been doing my best at trying to think of creative fun things to do while we are at home this week. Bless our Lord we have had beautiful weather. We have spent a lot of time outdoors. Cameron has had a seasonal runny nose all winter, even when it's been nice we haven't been able to be outdoors much or it made it worse. These antibiotics are helping that out, I try to find the silver lining in everything.

On Tuesday I made some cloud dough. I found the recipe for it over on grass stains. I had to half the recipe, it still worked, and smelled delicious. I didn't get any pics of us playing, it is very messy! We've also ran a few errands here and there. I've had jewelry and diet cokes to deliver. We also went to Wendy's one night, gasp! I feel as long as he isn't in direct contact with any kids it should be okay. The Wendy's on Charlestown Rd and Blackston Mill has a new Coke machine. Steve ate there when he worked on Saturday. It's one machine with like 86 different drink choice. You push your button; Coke, Diet Coke, Root Beer, whatever you want, then you get like 5 more choices; cherry, lime, raspberry. It's crazy!!!! Steve was so enamored with it he had to go back. That's all I heard about Saturday night was this Coke machine.

Scott got Steve a wireless bluray player for his birthday. You can hook it up to wifi and watch youtube videos. The boys had a ball dancing to the Jake the Neverland Pirate band. Cooper loves the Spanish version. Don't ask me why.

See that dirt pile back there? That is from where they dug for the basement next to us.

I let the kids play in it.

We were really hoping for a good snow so we could sled down it this year. Don't think it's going to happen.

A mean game of Elefun took place yesterday.

I like how the 18 month old is double fisted with the nets.

I took them to McDonald's this morning for breakfast. I was hoping to catch a good surprise face from them when I said where we were going, this is all I got.

I'm the mom who doesn't comb their kids hair before leaving.

This kid can hammer down some hot cakes. See that snake? It goes everywhere with us. Of all things to be attached to is a snake.

We played outside a lot today. I took them on a wagon ride for at least a mile. After lunch we played baseball and Cooper rode his big wheel. I thought for sure he would nap, no such luck. So Toy Story 2 is on and I am making my grocery list and meal plans for the next two weeks. I have been planning our meals two weeks at a time. It's saving us a lot of time and money, at least I think it.

One more day of antibiotics and we are all clear. We have a surprise trip to Outside In planned for Saturday. We haven't been a in a couple months, it should make for one happy little boy. Come Monday it's back to our routine. It has been good to have a "free" week. Had we had nasty weather I don't think I could have made it. Can you imagine if kids were out of school January and February instead of June and July?

Sounds like your week wasn't as bad as it could have been had there been bad weather. I'm sure the boys enjoyed their time with 100% of your attention.

My parents talked about that coke machine for WEEKS. So much so, that they just HAD to take me to see it. Funny thing is tho, I just ended up with diet coke, I was too overwhelmed to make another choice :)
