Saturday

We had a quite the busy Saturday, well for us anyway.

Cameron and I headed out to Jazzercise in the morning to get my Jazz it Off weight and measurements. I found out I have a 1200 calorie a day goal. This is going to be tough! I guess anything can be done if you put your mind to it. I did good on Sunday and on track today. I even had to do McDonald's for lunch since we didn't have power this morning and I didn't want to open my fridge. After the weigh in we headed to the Outside in Family Fun Center to meet up with Steve and Cooper. If you haven't been you need to check it out. It's only $6 and there is a room of inflatables and a toddler room in the basement. There are only 3 inflatables but for $6 and it's on this side of the river, you can't beat it. It's across from the Y, the old Worlds of Fun.

Look at my handsome boy!!!! This was the only one I managed to get of Cooper. He usually isn't one to do inflatables, especially if there are other kids, but he was having a ball this week. He was also the only kid in there.
Steve tried to get one of me and my little man.

Steve and Cooper headed out to lunch while me and Cameron headed out to met up with Tracey & Gretchen for lunch. We sat for a good hour and a half just chatting. It was sooooo nice. I miss those girls!!!! Since Cameron fell asleep at the restaurant he was wide awake when we got home while Cooper was taking his nap. I was nice and let Steve go grab a nap and I stayed up and played my man. Cute story here, Steve texted me on the way home because Cooper was distraught I wasn't home to put him down for a nap. He may be turning into a daddy's boy but he can still be a momma's boy.
After naps we headed to Steve's parents for his make-up bday dinner since the kids were sick. We had roast, mashed potatoes, green beans, yeast rolls, and chocolate marble cake. It was like my last supper before Jazz it Off. It was GOOD!!!!!
Sunday was busy too but nothing blog worthy. This morning we had no power from about 4:30 am until almost noon. Luckily I caught my mom before she left for work so she could bring some milk by for Cooper's breakfast. The power is back on now, kids are asleep, I'm about to finish blogging and watch Days of our Lives. Have a good week!

Just for fun

Our pediatrician suggested giving Cameron a small amount of juice to see if it would help with his bowel issues. I added some to a sippy cup last week to see what he would do. I'm not so sure he got anything but he sure had fun playing with it.

Science Center

Last week our church playgroup had an outing at the Science Center. When we thought Cameron might be coming down with RSV, Steve's mom offered to watch him so I could still take Cooper. Of course he didn't get it, thankfully, but I still took her up on the offer. Anytime I can get a little one on one time with my big guy, I take it. Sharon & Allie joined us as well but I wasn't able to grab any pics of the the two of them together. We only got 45 minutes of play time in Kid Zone, but it was only $5/each so I can't really complain.

He pretty much did the slide the entire time. Worked for me, I just sat down in front of it and watched him climb up and slide down. It was like a vacation.

I grabbed this as we were leaving. Soon after this picture was taken he somehow hit it head on the brick wall. Of course he started crying and was crying the whole way to the car and it looked like I had a child having a tantrum because they had to leave. I used to care about things like that until I had two kids. Then I realized you can't make them all happy.

Oh wait, if you look closely you can see Allie in the reflection. Guess I did get one of them both.

Don't ask me

Don't ask me what this little get up is, he did it all on his own.

Breakfast at Krispy Kreme

This week at church someone gave Cooper a coupon for a free donut at Krispy Kreme. I also remembered Scott was off on Monday for President's Day so I asked him if he would like to meet us there. Uncle Scott alone is great, donuts alone are great, you mix the two and you get one rowdy boy.

He was double fisted with donuts. He kept taking a bite of one then the other. This is too cute. I was trying to get Cameron's picture but he kept looking at Scott. He is going to have him just as spoiled as Cooper.

Finally, I tried to get a picture of Cooper and Scott but Cooper was too interested in Scott's donut.

Happy Birthday, Steve!

We celebrated Steve's 33rd birthday this weekend. I can't believe I have known this guy since he was only 20 years old. Check us out... 1998 2001

2005

We had his parents, brother, and my mom over for pizza and cake on Friday. I asked Cooper what he wanted to get him for this birthday and he said an Elmo birthday cake. His wish was my command. How many 33 year olds can say they got and Elmo cake?

Saturday morning Scott brought over Steve's gift, a new camera!!!!! I needed to get a new memory card and a few other things so Cooper and I ran some errands. We picked up an IU t-shirt for Steve to match the ones Scott bought for Cooper and Cameron. I'll have to post a pic once they wear them on the same day. Steve got in a much needed nap while Cameron was napping back at home. Then we all napped later in the afternoon. We played for a while outside before dinner and I tried out our new camera. I'm still trying to figure things out.

Check out those baby blues. Am I really going to have two children with blue eyes?

We wanted to grab a quick dinner so we headed to Wendy's. We could have been quicker at Outback, I have no idea what was going on there but I felt like I was on hidden camera.

Sunday was his actual birthday and we didn't do much but church and naps once again. Here's to another good year.

Call me Dr. Lee

I am getting pretty good at self-diagnosing my kids. First it was Cooper with RSV this week and now Cameron.

He developed a runny nose late Wednesday into Thursday so I had plans on bringing him into the doctor today. Well last night was bad! He doesn't sleep great anyway, but it was much worse than usual. This morning he woke up pain screaming, he laid in our arms most of the morning. Of course the doctor walks in and gives me this look like, oh no. I tell her I think we are safe for rsv but I'm pretty sure he has an ear infection. Sure enough the left ear is bulging red. This pain associated with ear infections is new to me, you could never tell with Cooper. She went ahead and tested for rsv and it was negative, I'm hoping the antibiotic will help prevent him from getting it. I know you can't use medicine to treat rsv but at least he is protected. Plus Cooper's is getting better.

We are two down and one to go before tubes. I asked her if he gets another can we put a call into an ENT. We might even do it if the antibiotic doesn't work. With Steve's and Cooper's history of ear problems and Cooper's speech delay, I don't want to take the risk. I would much rather do the procedure than see my child in that much pain. It really puts things into perspective. I have been so down about his sleeping lately. I'm exhausted. Now I just want to sit and cuddle him all night cause I know he is hurting.

We got back in two week for a check of his ears and two weeks after for his 6 month check up. Good thing I like our pediatrician.
