The best Saturday

This may go down as the best Saturday ever. It started out like this.
Steve also got come cuddle time as Cooper and I played Kinect.
I don't even really remember what we did during the day, I guess we just played because it went by super fast. Then came the night I had been waiting for. Gretchen was in town and Brittany was with her! They had a conference through their church on Friday night and Saturday, they decided to stay an extra night and Tracey and I got to meet them for dinner. We went to The Melting Pot. I love that place. I don't go there often but it is so nice when I do. We had almost two solid hours of chatting and eating good food. I wish I had more pictures of the night but we were having so much I forgot to get the camera out.
Funny story, all night I kept thinking our server looked familiar. He couldn't have been more than 22 years old. Finally I got up the nerve to ask him if anyone had ever told him he looked like someone famous. He said, "well some people have told me I look like that one guy, not Edward, the other one". OH.MY.WORD!!!! He is Jacob!!!! He has lighter skin but I swear he could be Jacob's twin. Of course I did what any reasonable 32 year old would, I got my picture taken with him. It's dark so you can't really tell, trust me though, he looked like Jacob.
After dinner we were about to pull out the parking lot when Tracey suggested we go to Pier One, it was across the street so why not. I think this is when the real trouble began. You have 4 30 something moms in a home/design store without kids. We were a little giddy.
Tracey and Brittany decided to re-inact those old photos, you know the ones with forks. Can you believe these things were $60?
How cute are these things? Ladybug measuring spoons people!
Now for the highlight of the trip, kitchen canisters. I have been thinking about painting my kitchen. I realize we just moved but the builders used flat paint and our kitchen walls are already messed up with finger prints. Our kitchen is also almost the exact same color as our old kitchen, I just want something new. I've been thinking about blue. Tracey wants to do her kitchen yellow and she found these adorable canisters. We both bought them. She totally found them, I would never have seen these if I wouldn't have back there when she took a second look. I am so excited to get started. Had I not bought these I probably would have just "talked" about painting. Now I have a reason. I can't wait to see what we both come up with. Aren't they adorable?
We ended the night back at Tracey's. Normally I would have tried to make it until midnight but 11 o'clock was midnight so I had to cut the night short. It was a much needed girl's night out and Brittany is super sweet. I am so happy Gretchen has found such nice people. I mean, who wouldn't love Gretchen?
These next two pics aren't from Saturday, they are just cute. Steve and Cooper were playing Kinect and we hung out watching.
He got down off the bed and started going through our night stand. He found a book, I guess he wanted do a little light reading.
