Pediatrician???
Anyone recommend a good pediatrician? As of today ours no longer accepts our insurance as in-network. I haven't called Anthem yet to determine what exactly this means, I think it means we would be responsible for the "discount" that the provider and insurance carrier have agreed on. This means we go from paying nothing to about $50 on well visits and maybe an additional $40-$50 on sick visits. This doesn't bother me too much because we love our pediatrician, however it is still a risk because Anthem could deny claims and not pay anything at all and there isn't anything we could do about it. So I think we need a back up plan. I still have hope something will be resolved, but until then I need someone else on stand by.

we LOVE our pediatrician. it's dr. bichir off of state street. he is awesome. if something is wrong in the middle of the night, you call him and he gets out of bed and talks to you. also, long story short, he met us at his office on christmas eve when sam was 11 months old. he had RSV and a double ear infection. we would have been at the hospital for sure that night. i could go on and on. he is just such a sweet man! lisa from jazzercise takes her girls too. lots of my friends do....janelle (lewis gang). he is out of town right now. he leaves for a couple of weeks every summer but other than that he is on call ALL THE TIME! he'll be back in a week or two, i think.
Southern Indiana Peds are the BEST. Dr Valentine has been in practice since we were babies, and her office is staffed with the best in the area. They are located in Jeff right down from the hospital.

We love ours as well. They just must be lovable people! ;-) We go to Jeb Teichman in Jeff. He is with Jeff Pediatrics. Wonderful practice. However, I'm not sure they accept new patients aceept newborns. You can call them at 288-9141 and see. Hope this helps.
We go to Kids R Great in New Albany and our doctor is Tim Corba...I love the guy! He's so gentle with Makenna but is so thorough each time. I had switched to him after being at Dr. Hensley's office in Sellersburg for 9 months and it was like visiting a totally different planet from the very 1st visit.
