Preschool Graduation

With preschool graduation last night it's getting closer and closer to being able to say I have a kindergartner.  He's growing up way entirely too fast.

We knew it was going to be a packed house so we got there almost an hour before start time.  Even then we were a few rows back.
This little one was so cute!!  He sat on my lap the entire time and didn't make a peep the entire ceremony.
I had a minor freak out moment before it all started, I grabbed a program and Cooper's name was left off.  This was also the same program that was by the basket of diplomas she was going to read from.  This would be our luck.  I took it downstairs to talk to the teacher and you could tell she felt terrible about it.  She wrote his name in so she wouldn't forget to call him up there and she promised me a corrected program at our picnic tomorrow.

The graduation itself was super cute.  They walked in to Pomp & Circumstance.  That just gives me chills when I hear it.  They did the Pledge of Allegiance then a few songs.  One was about going of to kindergarten and not being in Wee Ones anymore.

After the music they did a parade of letters and sounds.  Cooper was the letter A.  A is for Apple.
After the sound parade they came up and got their diplomas from the director Ms. Amy.  Presh!
When they all got their diplomas they presented the class of 2026!  That seems so far away yet so close at the same time.
They walked out to Taylor Swift's Never Grow Up.  It's a terribly sad song, never listen to it, ever!
Next up was a reception with cake and punch.  This is Luke Hammond, Cooper's buddy from school and Bible Study.  They love to play Star Wars.
I tried to get a good one of us, but between the adrenaline rush and cake, he was one hyped up kid.  All understandable though.

We aren't quite done with Wee Ones yet.  We have a class picnic tomorrow then we say goodbye to everyone.  Thankfully there are quite a few kids going to JJ next year, I'm hoping to have some in the same class.

My favorite part of the night was getting his memory box of various pictures and crafts over the past two years.  There was a sheet in there where they colored the same thing 3 different times to show the timeline of coloring.  It's amazing how much better he has gotten.  They have pictures from all the holiday parties, pajama day, show n' tell, and spotlighting.  He's grown so much!  I plan to take a picture tomorrow on the front porch to compare with the ones I already have.
He's all grown up now!

I can't believe Ellie will be going to Kindergarten in the fall too. Maybe Cooper will be in her class.

So sweet! I remember when you told me you were pregnant with Cooper. Has it really been that long ago now?
